ABOUT

My yoga journey began back in 2014 in Denver, CO as a space I could go to for mental clarity, after a long and stressful day working at a local daycare/transitional housing program.


I continued to practice regularly, and as I embarked on a life-changing, solo trip to Southeast Asia in 2016, found myself intrigued and deeply connected to the peaceful, laid back, and Buddhist lifestyle many people follow in Thailand. I meditated there for the first time, and really became connected to the idea that nature, yoga, mindfulness, and compassion for all living beings is a truly powerful means to get to know ourselves, and also to understand and respect people from different backgrounds and cultures.

After waiting a full year for covid restrictions to lift, in 2021 I finally got to pursue my dream of becoming a certified yoga teacher, and felt so grateful to get to learn in the lush rainforests of Uvita, Costa Rica.

​

Yoga has taught me so many things about myself and has opened my mind to interests and lifestyles I would not have imagined doing even 10 years ago. From calming a scattered mind, to stretching sore legs after a grueling hike, to igniting a refreshing spark of a spiritual awakening, yoga has so many amazing benefits and can support people on a multitude of levels.

Martha brought me back to in-person yoga, and has reminded me how beautiful the experience can be. I am the assistant manager at an art gallery, and we hired her to lead yoga classes in our garden room from time to time. She is communicative, flexible, and wonderful to work with. I was able to attend the last couple of classes myself, and I am so grateful that I did. She puts her heart and intention into each class, sharing something insightful and personal at the beginning, staying light-hearted, yet focused and helpful throughout. We have had a range of skill-levels attend, and she made everyone feel comfortable and empowered. I received a ton of positive feedback from our local folks that have come out for Martha’s classes. I highly recommend her!

Martha has led multiple Yoga classes at our workplace. She has been very professional, fun, and the classes have been perfect for the mixed skill level of the participants.  I have received nothing but positive feedback from coworkers and I could not recommend her enough!

I first met Martha while getting our RYT 200 in Uvita, Costa Rica. After moving to Colorado this past winter, I continued to take her yoga classes and practice with her regularly. I have always appreciated her approach to yoga, as it always helps me slow down and re-align. Martha's calm and down-to-Earth presence is something I have always valued. Her incorporation of meditation and ability to accommodate diverse classes makes her an excellent yoga instructor.
